Illinois Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics Vaccination Posters

Project: From 2021-2023, the Illinois Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics worked with Ink Factory to create printable and digital illustrations, as well as image libraries for all of the illustrations, that promoted awareness of the COVID-19 vaccine in primary care spaces. Similar to Ink Factory’s specialty of graphic recording, this project used text and images to convey complex information.
Challenge: To normalize regular vaccination schedules in a primary care space, during a time when misinformation or lack of clarity are abundant. The illustrations were also each done in English and Spanish to reach a wider audience in the appropriate spaces.
Between each illustration, there was the additional challenge of changing the style enough that it did not look like something people had seen before. It was to change enough to grab peoples’ attention.
